We saw a lot of business owners struggle with selling their business and finding the right buyer. Additionally, our investor friends who invested in startups\u00a0 and small businesses were increasingly unsure of what bets were the right ones to make. As we looked at the current market, we realized that small business owners were great in building a strong foundation on the back of the product\/service that they perfected, but lacked the tools to grow and scale effectively. Lightyear Ventures was formed with the vision to bring the small business to enterprise scale applying some of the same principles of product-led growth that successful tech companies in Silicon Valley have perfected while giving investors a business with strong foundations to invest in, reducing the risk of failures.<\/p>
